It was 19 degrees at my house this morning, At 8:00AM when I met my client it got up to 26 degrees. The water started out at 38 degrees and got up to 40 degrees when we left at noon, which was still 5 degrees lower than last Friday and the fish didn’t like it. Water was gin clear down to 10ft. Client had booked for 8hrs on line. He caught 12 bass by noon, nothing big, and called it a day. With the afternoon to get warmer the fishing action would have been better, however I could see he was uncomfortable so we went in. I only charged him for the time we were out. I didn’t fish much for bass but instead chose to cast my Big Dady musky rod for awhile with the Adams HAVOK lure. I should have stuck with the bass to give him more encouragement to stick with it. I was using a Ragetail Baby Bug for bass/ Big Dady Rods/ and LEW’s Hyperspeed reel.
