Like I tell the people at my seminars in the winter or early spring when the water is only in the 30’s or low 40’s with high/dirty /cold water. Increase your lure profile’ go dark color for contrast, get out of the current and slow down. This is what we did and we had a great day! We went up in profile to the Ragetail 3.75 Swimmer size rigged on a 3/16 Predator jig, went to a dark color and lifted as slow as possible without getting caught in the rocks. Water was 40 degrees,and we caught 26 fish, including a young 30″ Musky, and an old 30″ channel cat. Bass were from 15″ to 19″. A fantastic early March day!
